$1.6 million raised by 2017 Run for the Kids

9th April, 2017

Thank you so much to all the participants and their supporters who braved the dreary Melbourne weather and came to support the Herald Sun/CityLink Run for the Kids.

The wet weather didn’t stop over 26,000 people participating in Victoria’s favourite fun run! We are so grateful to the incredible sponsors and partners of this event – Event Partners Herald Sun and CityLink, Corporate sponsors Mazda, Nike, City of Melbourne, The Athlete’s Foot and Metro, and Media partners Nova 100 and Channel 7.

We extend a special thanks to CityLink and Transurban who closed both the Domain Tunnel and the Bolte Bridge for the race, providing our runners with a once a year opportunity to experience a truly unique course!

With your donations, as well as a little extra support from major Run for the Kids sponsor CityLink, we were able to raise $1.6 million dollars! That brings the total fundraising efforts for Run for the Kids over the past 12 years to $15.7 million dollars raised for The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Although Run for the Kids has come to an end for another year, you can still donate to the Good Friday Appeal by visiting http://runforthekids2017.gofundraise.com.au/ ,or by clicking the donate tab at the top of this page.
