Volunteer Week 2021

This National Volunteer Week, we are celebrating the thousands of volunteers who give their time and expertise for the Appeal.

This week during National Volunteer Week 2021 (17 to 23 May) we are celebrating our volunteers who help make a world of difference to sick kids at The Royal Children’s Hospital.

THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!

The Good Friday Appeal is powered by the thousands of volunteers across Victoria and beyond who come together each year to Give for the Kids.

It was so wonderful to welcome back our volunteers in person for the 90th Appeal, and to have physical collections and fundraising activities back this year.

As always, there was an amazing response from our dedicated community of volunteers and for that we are truly grateful.

Even with limitations on how we could run the day, we had a brilliant turn out on Good Friday with happy faces in the phone room, money counting room, regional tally room, Kids Day Out Treasure Hunt, Kick for the Kids AFL match and in Good Friday Appeal operational rooms.

From our Metropolitan Collection Groups and our Area Managers in regional areas, as well as the people in those communities, to tin shakers and dedicated fundraisers, to those counting cash or organising events across the state, we received brilliant support.

This support has made it possible to achieve the incredible fundraising result of $17,122,789 in 2021 bringing the total raised for The Royal Children’s Hospital to $399 million over the Appeal’s 90 year history.
