Woolworths kick-start the 2025 Appeal!
Woolworths fundraises all year round for the Appeal through donations at checkout and other activities and Woolies has generously kicked off fundraising for 2025 with an amazing donation of $350,000.
Woolworths have been wonderful friends of the Good Friday Appeal for over 37 years, with their teams and customers being incredibly generous through their support of the Good Friday Appeal each and every year. This year Woolies teams and customers raised an incredible $1.316M for the 2024 Appeal to continue funding programs that reduce stress and anxiety for patients and their families during their hospital experiences.

This donation from Woolworths will mean that The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) will be expanding their Child Life Therapy (CLT) program into the Emergency Department (ED) to reduce stress for patients, families and staff, and help make a visit to the hospital a more positive experience for everyone.
The importance of CLT in the ED lies in its ability to significantly improve the overall experience for children and young people by addressing their developmental, emotional, and psychosocial needs, thereby reducing anxiety and distress associated with hospitalisation and medical procedures.
