Meet Sebastian

Sebastian started chemo for stage 4 Hodgkin’s on Good Friday 2022 at just 15 years old. During this time he spent 15 days on chemo and 15 days off at The Royal Children’s. On his days off they spent many nights at the RCH due to obstacles during his treatment, a chemo burn, infections, and blood transfusions.

He also developed AVN which resulted in severe pain. However, Sebastian didn’t let this hold him back when just 5 days after he had his chemo port removed by Dr Tom Clarnet he joined the 2023 Run for the Kids for the 5km course as part of his friends team. Although registered to walk the course Sebastian wasn’t going to let anything hold him back and he chose to run most of the way.

“I saw what joy doing this brought Sebastian. Each donation made him smile ear to ear.” His mum Nat said proudly.

In 2024, Sebastian once again took part in the Herald Sun/ Transurban Run for the Kids as he loved how it had made him feel.
